Kupu Maui At The Bailey House Museum Pop Up

This last August Kupu Maui event took place at the amazing Bailey House Museum in Wailuku.  Steeped in Maui history, we gathered on land that was once a farm and on the compound of Kahekili II, last ruling chief of Maui. It was a magical evening filled with Chocolate Smiles and Candlelight Laughter. Delicious food, coffee, chocolate and music made the night especially warm and friendly.  Proceeds from this evening went to the Bailey House Museum to ensure its continuance in the preservation and education of Maui culture.

A big Mahalo to Erik Blair for creating such a lovely video for us in order to capture the memory and share with all of you.  If you were not able to join us for this evening, please stay tuned for our next.  We would love to sit down and have dinner with you.

  1. This was a great Kupu Maui and I didn’t even know about the Bailey House Museum until this event and I really enjoyed it.

    • Mahalo for sharing Jon. Out of our 60+ guests over 50 of them had never been to The Bailey House Museum. This dinner was a smashing success…something about serving dessert first that made it fun for all of us.

  2. It is such a pleasure to document Kupu Maui because the place, people and the palette are so warm, tasty and remarkable. I can’t take artistic credit for the video because the light, color and perspective is a gift I receive at every Kupu Maui, and for that I am honored. Mahalo

    • Truth be spoken. The friends/family around the table and the farm make Kupu Maui what it is today. We have never strayed from the mantra which we started this culinary adventure to be…feeding great people delicious locally sourced food around a beautifully set table.
